New Year’s Eve in Morocco

December 27 – Marrakesh

We will pick you up at the Marrakech airport and transfer you to the riad/hotel.

December 28: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate:

Departure after breakfast through the high atlas through the port of TIZI N Tichka pass AT (2260 m altitude), passing through Berber villages to reach the fortified village of Ait Ben HADDO free time to visit calmly, lunch in the village and continue towards Ouarzazate. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.

December 29: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Dades Valley:

After breakfast we went out to visit the city of Ouarzazate considered the great door of the desert and place since the beginning of the great expeditions, to highlight the Kasbah of Taourirt, and the main palace of the Glaoui, the great Pacha of the South of Morocco, places what do we visit. We continue towards the valley of the ROSES, passing through SKOURA, BOUMALNE DADES, until we reach the Dades gorges where we will have accommodation and dinner.

December 30: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga:

Departure by road dotted with Kasbahs, all of them different. After several stops, we arrive at one of the strong points of the South: The TODRA GORGES. The Todra River has formed a gorge with vertical walls of enormous proportions and great beauty, it is a paradise for climbers and a unique place. We continue south, free lunch on the way and continue towards the desert until we reach the impressive sand dunes of Merzouga. Free time to climb the dunes and take advantage of the sunset, after dinner a Berber show with reels awaits us. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.

December 31: Merzouga Desert – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga:

ERG CHEBBI Tour, extension of the sand desert where the Great Dune of Morocco is located, connecting by track with part of the route followed by the old Paris-Dakar, with the bordering mountains of Algeria in the background. Stop at the oasis and continue to a settlement where the nomads will learn some secrets of their life and customs. Stop in the town of KHAMILIA where its people are originally from Mali, there we will enjoy their live music in Guana while we taste a delicious tea. Return to the refuge, lunch and we set out on the dromedary for an hour and a half journey that will take us to the foot of the Great Dune, feeling enveloped by the beautiful sunset in the desert. We sleep in tents in the heart of the desert under a blanket of stars.

January 1: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Zagora:

We woke up before dawn to watch the sunrise. Return to the hostel in the dormitory. Shower and breakfast, early departure to RISSANI Visit of the city, and if it coincides, also of its market. We will continue through the arid and at the same time interesting landscapes of the pre-desert until we reach the town of Zagora, a city from where the caravans used to leave for a long journey to reach Timbuktu. ZAGORA is also the administrative center from which the entire valley of El Diseñado and the Oasis that receives the same name, considered the largest in Morocco as well as the richest in date production, dominate. Dinner and accommodation in Hotel.

January 02: Zagora – Agdez – Ouarzazate – Marrakech:

After breakfast, departure to Ouarzazate through the sublime Draa Valley with its parade of palm trees, visit the Berber village of forced disappearances, we will cross the Anti Atlas (1660 m altitude). Stops to take photos, we continue to the TADDART Berber village where we will rest and have time for lunch, in the afternoon departure to Marrakech. Transfer to the hotel/riad, dinner and accommodation.

January 3: Marrakech Airport:

Breakfast, Free morning to contemplate the red city and buy the latest purchases. At the agreed time, transfer to the airport and end of our services.
