4 Days – Escape to the desert of Merzouga

Day 1 – Marrakech- Ouarzazate – Rosas Valley – Dades Gorges

Departure from Marrakech via the Col Tichka mountain pass, where we will cross the Atlas Mountains making stops to enjoy the magnificent views that the route offers us and to rest or take photos whenever you feel like it. We will continue on the way to Ouarzazate, where After lunch, we continue the route meeting the town of Skoura, located in the heart of the valley of palm trees, an extensive and labyrinthine oasis, whose exuberant vegetation covers beautiful secret kasbahs and you can also visit its kasbah. From here we will continue through the Valley of the Roses (famous for their cultivation) towards the Dades Valley, where we will visit the Dades Gorges. Dinner and night in Dades.

Day 2 – Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Rissani – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, we will continue along the banks of Boumalne, where a road lined with kasbahs (citadel) and ksour (fortresses or castles) opens, whose landscape is ocher, red and mauve. Around us we will find stony plateaus where dromedaries graze. After a journey full of ksour, oasis and palm trees, we will arrive at Tineghir (where the spectacular Todra gorges are located) perched at an altitude of 1,350 m and surrounded by a palm grove. We continue towards Erfoud (city of fossils) and after passing through Rissai, we will arrive at Merzouga, in front of the high dunes of Erg Chebbi. At the hotel we will leave what we do not need and the dromedaries are waiting for us to enter the desert, while the sun sets, until we reach the tent camp in the middle of the desert with high dunes, where we will spend the night in a tent. Dinner and night in a tent under the stars of the desert.

Day 3 – Merzouga Desert – Rissani – N’kob – Daraa Valley – Ouarzazate

We will wake up early if the clouds allow us, we may have an opportunity to contemplate the beautiful spectacle of sunrise over a sea of sands. We will ride dromedaries back to the hostel to take a shower and have a good breakfast, then we will go to Rissani, the first imperial city of Morocco to visit its legendary market and continue to Tazzarine passing through Alnif, in the middle of the Mader basin. We will continue our way in the direction of the wonderful Draâ Valley, richer in the production of dates. with its millions of palm trees, panoramic tour of the valley then we will cross the anti Atlas and finally arrive at Ouarzazate Dinner and accommodation.

Day 4 – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

In Ouarzazate you can visit if you like movies, the movie studios where many famous Holliwood movies have been shot. Then we will take a detour to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (World Heritage). Free time to walk around the kasbah and climb to its summit to contemplate the views. We will cross again the mountains of the Great Atlas with its beautiful landscapes. We will arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon. Transfer to your hotel or to the airport and end of our services.
