Adventure trip through Morocco
Day 1 – Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
Leaving Marrakech at 8:00 in the morning and departure to Ouarzazate. On the way we will cross the Atlas through the amazing port of Tizi n’Tichka, 2,260 meters high. Shortly after crossing the Atlas take a track to visit the Kasbah of Pacha Glaoui in Telouet. Passing through several Berber villages we arriveto the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, an incredible fortified city over 800 years old. In his movies have been filmed as Gladiator or Kingdom of Heaven.At the end of the visit we will go to Ouarzazate, where you can visit the movie studios.Dinner overnight at the hotel
Day 2 – Ouarzazate – Agdez – Draa Valley – Mharech Gorges
After having breakfast and visiting the Kasbah Taourirt, we leave in the direction of Zagora crossing the Anti Atlas mountains and passing through the port of Tizi n Tinifift, at 1,600 meters of height.ushering in the Draa Valley by a track we will see several Berber villages and kasbahs inside. Leaving the N’kob, Tarazine and Alnif villages behind, we will take another track that crosses remote villages until we reach the Mharech Gorges. Many of these sections have to be traversed during the Dakar Rally.Dinner and overnight in a Riad
Day 3 – Mharech – Ramlia Oasis – Ouzina Dunes – Merzouga
Continuing along the Dakar Rally Cross track, more solitary villages, epiphytic wadis (dry riverbeds), oasis and Ouzina dunes. Following the route we will visit the Berber villages and take the road towards Erg Chebbi, the highest dunes in Morocco. Had lunch with Berber family with Berber pizza. and we arrive at Merzouga, compared to the high dunes of Erg Chebbi. At the hotel we will leave what they do not need and wait for the dromedaries to submerge in the desert, while the sun sets, until they reach the tent camp in the middle of the desert with high dunes, where we spend the night in an al Khaimah . Dinner and accommodation in a tent under the stars of the desert.
Day 4 – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi Tour – Merzouga
We woke up before dawn to watch the sunrise. Return to the hotel in dromedary. Shower and breakfast. We went out to surround the Erg Chebbi, an extension of sand desert where the Great Dune of Morocco is located, more than 250 meters high, connecting by track with part of the route followed by the old Paris-Dakar, with the bordering mountains of Algeria background. Stop at the Tissardmin oasis and continue to a nomadic settlement where they learn some secrets of their lives and customs. Drop off at a vantage point where visitors can contemplate the Erg Chebbi as a whole. Stop in Khamlia, village, country of origin Mali, to relax with a cup of tea while we enjoy a small concert of Gnawa music. Return to the lodge, lunch and free afternoon to climb the dunes and enjoy a romantic sunset. After dinner, a Berber drum show awaited us. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel
Day 5 – Merzourga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
After your breakfast, departure in the direction of Rissani, the origin of the Alaouite dynasty and the first imperial city of Morocco.We will take the road in the direction of Erfoud, rich in black stone and marine fossils (if you wish, we can stop at a factory of fossils) and arrive at the Tafilalet Palm Grove. We will visit the Roda gorges and arrive at the Dades Valley, Dinner and overnight at the Hotel
Day 6 – Dades Valley – Rosas Valley – Skoura – Marrakech
Leaving the valley behind the activities by the route of the ‘Thousand Kasbahs’, passing through the impressive Valley of the Roses and you will arrive at the palm grove of Skoura, where is the Kasbah of the most famous area.From this point we will start the way to return to Marrakech arrival at your hotel the end of our services.
