Merzouga Desert Trip
Day 1 – Arrival in Agadir
Arrival at Agadir airport, you will meet our driver who will take you to your Riad/Hotel.
Day 2 – Agadir – Taroudant – Tazenakht – Ouarzazate
In the morning we leave Agadir in the direction of Ouarzazate. Throughout our trip, we visit the old city and the market of Taroudant, known as “little Marrakech”. We continue to Taliouine, known for its saffron. We travel towards Ouarzazate through the Atlas Mountains along a charming and varied landscape and small Berber villages. We take a break at Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou, the most beautiful Kasbah in Morocco (Unesco World Heritage Site). You will have dinner and spend the night at the Riad in Ouarzazate.
Day 3 – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Valley of the Roses – Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga
After breakfast we drive to Dades Gorge through Rose Valley and palm trees (route of 1000 kasbahs). The trip continues towards Merzouga (Sahara desert) through the Todra valley. We stop for lunch and take a walk through the Todra Gorges, the most beautiful gorges in Morocco. We drive towards Merzouga (Sahara desert) through a beautiful desert landscape. We pass Rissani, known for its kasbahs and oases. In the afternoon we arrive in Merzouga where we have dinner and spend the night in the hotel.
Day 4 – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Rissani – Merzouga desert
You will get up early in the morning to see the spectacular sunrise over the desert dunes. Then return to the hotel to enjoy your breakfast. You will stay in Rissani where you will visit the Rissani Souk. Around 4:00 p.m. we return to Merzouga where you can take a camel trip through the desert. For dinner you will have a traditional Berber tagine. You will spend the night in a Berber tent under a starry sky.
Day 5 – Merzouga Alnid – Tazarine – Zagora
After breakfast, leave Merzouga and travel towards Zagora through Alnif, Tazarine, beautiful desert landscapes, oases and small Berber villages. We spend the night in a hotel overlooking the beautiful valley.
Day 6 – Zagora – Draa Valley Ouarzazate – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
We leave Zagora and continue towards Ouarzazate through the Draa Valley, Agdz. In Ouarzazate we visit the film studio. We continue to Marrakech through the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260 m) over the High Atlas Mountains. We stopped for lunch. Dinner will be served in a local restaurant in Jemaa-El-Fna, you will spend the night in a Riad.
Day 7 – Sightseeing visit to Marrakech
During this day you will explore the city of Marrakech. After breakfast, visit, under the guidance of an English-speaking guide, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace and Menara. In the afternoon you will visit the Jemaa-El-Fna square (the beating heart of Marrakech) and the colorful and perfumed alleys of the souk. Dinner is served at Jemaa El Fna where you will spend the night on Road.
Day 8 – Marrakech – Agadir
In the morning we leave Marrakech to Agadir for your flight back home and finish our Tour.
