Getaway to Zagora from Marrakech
Day 1 – Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazatae – Draa Valley
Start our Zagora desert tour from Marrakech, traversing the High Atlas mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka (2260m), to reach ait Ben Haddou, fortified Ksar with its beautiful kasbahs. We will visit and have our lunch at one of the local restaurants. Afterwards, we will go to the Draa Valley after crossing the second pass that is Tizi N’Tnifift at 1710m and, the old route of the Sahara merchant caravans coming from “Tombouktou”. We will have the opportunity to explore the largest palm grove on our way to Zagora. We are going to take a Camel Trek, ride the camels in the sunset and reach our camp located in an oasis.
Day 2 – Zagora – Agdez – Ouarzazate- Marrakech
Wake up early to see the sunrise over the small dunes of Zagora, followed by a typical breakfast at the Zagora camp. Then ride the camels back to meet your driver to drive back to Marrakech. We will have free time in Ouarzazate for lunch at a local restaurant and visit the famous Kasbah of Taourirt. In the afternoon, we will head back to Marrakech through the Atlas Mountains.
